Technology Development Zones Law No. 4691

National Defense University Technology Development Zone Established in Istanbul Beşiktaş

Decision on the Determination of the Bounded Area as the "National Defence University Technology Development Zone" (Decision Number: 11679)

Published in the Official Gazette via this Presidential Decree, an area of 26,420.941 square meters located in the Rumelihisarı neighborhood of the Beşiktaş district in Istanbul has been designated as the 'National Defense University Technology Development Zone'. This decision was enacted pursuant to Article 4 of the Technology Development Zones Law No. 4691, with the boundaries and coordinates of the respective zone announced in the attached sketch and list. This newly designated Technology Development Zone will host R&D activities in the defense industry and technology sectors.

Technology companies and entrepreneurs operating within the zone will become eligible to benefit from tax exemptions and incentives under Law No. 4691. The text of the decree does not introduce direct textual amendments to legislative articles; rather, it establishes a new technology development zone based on the authorizing provision of the law. With this decree entering into force, technopark operations officially commence in the specified area.

Magistral Drug Tariff and Prices of Various Antidotes and Medical Supplies Increased

Decision of the Health Services Pricing Commission

Published by the Social Security Institution Healthcare Pricing Commission, this decision introduces comprehensive amendments to the Healthcare Implementation Communique (SUT) pursuant to the Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law No. 5510. By virtue of this decision, the magistral drug tariff applied in pharmacies and the maximum prices for such medications have been increased by 40 percent. Furthermore, prices for various antidotes used in poisoning cases, certain medical supplies, and specific drugs procured from abroad have been updated and incorporated into new lists.

New procedure codes have been established in specialties such as hematology-oncology, cardiology, chest diseases, and pediatric surgery, while certain existing procedure points have been readjusted. Regulations have been introduced regarding the reimbursement procedures and principles for bone marrow transplantation and overseas treatment processes. The relevant articles of the decision enter into force according to different timelines as of their publication date.
