New cancellation condition introduced for non-centrally cleared transactions in the Borsa Istanbul Repo and Reverse Repo Market
Regulation Amending the Regulation on Principles Regarding Stock Exchange Activities of Borsa İstanbul A.Ş.

This regulation, published by the Capital Markets Board, amends the Regulation on the Principles Regarding Borsa Istanbul A.S.'s Exchange Operations. With this amendment, a new cancellation condition has been introduced for transactions that do not receive central clearing services within the Borsa Istanbul Repo and Reverse Repo Market. Accordingly, if the securities subject to repo transactions are not reported by the time specified by Takasbank on the transaction date and are not blocked in the relevant account, the transactions will be deemed invalid.
Such transactions will be cancelled by the Exchange upon the notification of Takasbank. The regulation aims to ensure the security and timely execution of clearing and settlement procedures in repo transactions. The provisions of the Regulation have entered into force on the date of their publication.

Before This paragraph was not present following the third paragraph of Article 33.
Now Transactions within the Borsa Repo and Reverse Repo Market that do not receive central clearing services shall be deemed invalid and cancelled if the notification is not made by the time determined by Takasbank and if they are not blocked in the relevant account on behalf of the fund.
In the event of non-compliance with Takasbank notification and blocking deadlines for repo and reverse repo transactions, the transactions will directly become void and will be cancelled by the exchange.
